We're Listening

Thank you for completing our recent fast-ferry customer survey on the reservation system! Based on the feedback, we are initiating several changes.

Starting Monday, October 16, customers will be allowed to book a maximum of two persons on a single reservation. This change is intended to reduce the number of “no-shows” who take up reserved spots on the fast ferry. Those who need more can call our Customer Service Office at 800.501.7433.

Also, reservation holders who have not checked in with our Marine Services Ambassador ten minutes before a scheduled sailing will lose their reservation and need to queue in the walk-up line. Those riding a Kitsap Transit bus or foot ferry running late will not lose their reservation. This change addresses concerns of walk-up customers.

Earlier this month, we rolled out two improvements to the reservation system: Confirmation e-mails now include the date of the sailing in the subject line, and the website now indicates “Walk-Ups Open” instead of “Sold Out,” clarifying that there are always 30 walk-up spots available on every sailing, even if all reserved spots are spoken for.

We are working with our vendor to phase in additional improvements soon, such as streamlining the process of making a reservation for multiple days. Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements, and thank you for supporting this new cross-sound transit option!
