Q: What is ACCESS service?

A: ACCESS is a shared ride paratransit type of service within Kitsap County, in compliance with the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA). ACCESS service is available for qualified passengers unable to use Kitsap Transit's regular fixed route buses some or all of the time. An application is required prior to service. ADA paratransit eligibility is not based solely on the presence of a condition or disability, but on how the condition or disability affects a rider’s ability to use the fixed route service under all possible conditions. 

Some non-ADA services are also available.
