Kitsap Transit encourages riders to take precautions and be prepared:
- If your stop is on a hill, please walk to a stop on flat ground.
- Give yourself plenty of time to get to the bus stop in the snow. Your bus stop may be late during inclement weather, so dress warmly and please be patient.
- The floor of the bus or ferry may be slippery. Please use caution.
We prioritize the safety of our passengers and employees. Thank you for your patience. Stay safe out there!

Please check your individual route schedule online for specific Snow Route details. The Snow Route link is located above the scheduled timepoints on each online schedule.
Please visit our Snow & Extreme Weather webpage to check the status of your bus or ferry service and to access snow route maps.
Given poor road conditions, our buses may run behind schedule. We strongly recommend that you download our real-time tracking apps to see the location of your ride. Visit our Transit Apps webpage for more information.
If we make changes to service, they will occur at 9 AM, Noon, 3 PM and 7 PM on weekdays and 10 AM and 2 PM on weekends. We plan to issue a Rider Alert with information about the next service change about 45 minutes before the next interval. If we are not making changes to service in the next interval, we may not issue a rider alert or update for that interval.
