LEARN KITSAP TRANSIT
New Ways to Stay Informed
Get Real-Time Trip Information When You Need It!
In 2025, Kitsap Transit is changing how it sends information to riders when service on our buses or ferries is disrupted. Check this page for updates.
What's happened: In March, we launched a new rider alert system (Phase 1) that lets riders sign up for email or text message alerts based on the route, stop and when they ride.
What's new: Track your bus in real-time! With the launch of Phase 2, Kitsap Transit's new bus tracking tool will show the location, crowdedness and estimated arrival time of the bus at the next few stops. Riders can also plan trips, view bus or ferry schedules, and find stops near their location!
What's next? We’re working on Phase 3 – Next Bus Arrival – a project that would let riders text or call a phone number to receive information about when their bus will arrive at their stop.

Phase 1 – Personalize your rider alert experience
Subscribe to receive alerts only for the stops, days and times you ride! Text a phone number to receive information on the next bus arrival.
Phase 2 – Real-Time Bus Map
Plan a trip, track your bus, and feel more confident when you take transit! Kitsap Transit's new real-time map allows riders to see their routes, stops, estimated arrival times and how crowded their bus is all in one place. Less guessing, less stressing.
How to use Kitsap Transit Tracker
Learn more about Kitsap Transit's Real-Time Tracker tool. The KT Tracker does not show the locations of our ACCESS buses or On-Demand buses. Use the Ride Pingo app to see the location of your On-Demand bus once you’ve booked a trip. We are working to add real-time ferry locations soon, but they will not be available at launch. If you would like to see the location of your ferry, you can use apps like MarineTraffic or VesselFinder. We are also working to launch our Google real-time data feed so that the public can find real-time bus locations in third-party apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, Transit, Moovit and Citymapper. |

Phase 3 – Use your phone to find your next bus arrival
Find your next bus arrival by texting a local phone number! When this feature goes live, customers will be able to text their stop ID to receive a message with the estimated next bus arrival times. Kitsap Transit is developing signage to post at every bus stop that will include the stop ID number and information on how to find your next bus.
