LEARN KITSAP TRANSIT
New Ways to Stay Informed
Get Real-Time Trip Information When You Need It!
In 2025, Kitsap Transit is changing how it sends information to riders when service on our buses or ferries is interrupted. Check back here for updates each month, as we plan to roll out the system in phases.
Subscribe to receive alerts only for the stops, days and times you ride! Track your bus's real-time location and capacity on our website or via third-party apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, or the Transit app. Text a phone number to receive information on the next bus arrival.
We will launch Phase 1 on March 5, 2025. We'll post updates when we have launch dates for Phases 2 and 3.

Phase 1 – Personalize your rider alert experience
Kitsap Transit will start issuing alerts through SimplifyTransit starting on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. We will no longer issue alerts through GovDelivery after March 4.
Phase 2 – Real-Time Bus Map
Plan a trip, track your bus, and feel more confident when you take transit! Kitsap Transit will roll out a new real-time map that will allow riders to see their routes, stops and estimated arrival times all in one place, as well as how crowded your arriving bus is.
Riders will also be able to track buses using Google Maps, Apple Maps, or other third-party apps that support a Google Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) real-time feed.
Phase 3 – Use your phone to find your next bus arrival
Find your next bus arrival by texting a local phone number! When this feature goes live, customers will be able to text their stop ID to receive a message with the estimated next bus arrival times. Kitsap Transit is developing signage to post at every bus stop that will include the stop ID number and information on how to find your next bus.
